These are very impressive binoculars, with stunning image quality. I've directly compared them to several recent Zeiss and Leica models. As expected, they are sharp from center to edge, with very high brightness and contrast. The eye relief is outstanding, making the effective field of view with eyeglasses as good as that of some 8x models. I measured an excellent close focus distance of 5 feet 2 inches in good agreement with the spec. It requires about 1.6 turns of the focusing wheel to go from infinity to minimum focus, slower than other Zeiss binoculars I've owned, but comparable to other high-end roof prisms. The center-gap design pioneered by Swarovski is pleasing to hold, and the binoculars are surprisingly light. Highly recommended, especially for eyeglass wearers.

I'm a birder and have owned many high end bins over the years but the Victory SF model is by fay the best of the best. For me it came down to the Swarovski EL and Zeiss Victory SF. I have nothing bad to say about the Swaro's but a side by side comparison the Zeiss just felt better in my hand and had an overall sharper image.
