Got the V-4 1-4 power with locking elevation turret and illuminated ZQAR reticle. This reticle is fast to the eye. Made really for 3-gun or DMR set up on AR orM1-A. Mounted on mod. 94 Big Bore .444 Marlin for Whitetail/Bear in brush and timber. Replaced an old 3x9. Only down side is testing loads at 100 yds the plain crosshair in the 3x9 lent itself to shooting groups better that the dot but the dot is faster and accurate enough. Glass quality is outstanding. I own 3 other zeiss scopes and one swarovski and this one is on level with them for quality.

Actually just ordered 2nd V4 1-4 I used one on my Henry 45/70 Primary for bait bears, 2nd is going on a 358 win for same purpose. I wish I could explain in few words how it worked. I have many Zeiss, S&B, Swar, and Leupold. If you use for the purpose designed you can't go wrong. One of the lowest cost scopes I own but think highly of it.

I bought this scope on sale from Euro Optic. What a deal! Initially, I was hesitant about the reticle, but it actually works quite well. It is a true 1x and the glass is definitely Zeiss quality. If you are on fence about buying this, all I can say to you is to do it. You will not be disappointed.

Ever since my EOTech 512 took a crap and has no customer support I've been looking for a replacement. 1x4 have been popular in the past but I was looking at newer 1x6 and 1x8 scopes. Big $$$! When I saw this Zeiss 1x4 closeout at Euro Optic @ $429 I jumped at the chance. Fantastic glass and a huge difference compared to a holo sight and 3x magnifier. What a deal!

I really like the scope. Large field of view, very good optics and a useful reticle. Optically it's better than any $400.00 LPVO I own. Minor optical abberation at the very edges on 1x. Mostly disappears when the occular is properly adjusted. Range holds on the reticle are good but I have only shot it to 400 yards so far. Illumination is good, not bright enough for bright daylight but I don't need it then anyway!
EuroOptic was great to deal with and very responsive.

I was looking for a low power variable scope of good quality for hunting and tactical carbine use. The typical price for an optic of this quality is over $500 so I decided to give EuroOptic a try and I am very pleased with both the product and the seller. I understand this scope is no longer available. For some purposes, a 6X or 8X scope could be more useful, but a true 1-4X scope with an illuminated reticle is nearly perfect for any use I might have from 3-100 yards, and generally suitable for my purposes to +/- 300 yards. If you can find one for sale, or wish to make a purchase from Euro Optic, do so with confidence! Cheers!

When looking for a scope I wanted a true 1X, variable power, 30mm or wider tube, and an illuminated reticle made in USA, Germany, Austria or Japan. This Zeiss checked all the boxes and is one of the smallest available yet solid, with amazing glass brightness and clarity. I doubt there is a better scope available for the price I paid from Euro Optic. The brightness of both the glass and reticle is useful from before/after dawn/dusk and throughout the day. The etched reticle means the scope can be used even without power. The field of view, because of the 30mm tube, is generous. And since it is a 1X, it is completely useable with both eyes open and the eye box makes for quick sighting. Adjusted to 4X, I am able to easily identify and engage targets to 300 yards. The elevation adjustment will allow for 600+ yards shots but I haven’t tried using this scope for anything that distant (yet!). This is an outstanding rifle scope and depending on what you pay, may also be an outstanding bargain. If you think you can make do with 4X max magnification and the ZQAR reticle then buy with confidence!

I really really want to give this optic 5 stars. The reticle is honestly my favorite in real life on the range. Hard to describe but of all the reticles that are not a simple crosshair with center illuminated dot, this one takes the cake. Easiest to get on target fast and not too obtrusive. Now the con, the damn glass has an awful fisheye around the outer edge. No matter how much I adjust the diopter I cannot get the glass to be clear edge to edge. It's really disappointing bc optics like the Vortex PST are damn good for a similar price point. Although I did get this optic for a great deal I still think for what the MSRP is, the glass and fisheye effect should be better. The glass is clear for the area around the reticle I want to make that clear. Its the fisheye that is distorting the image. The portion of the glass that does not have fisheye is superb.

It's OK - was hoping that this would feel like a Zeiss, but honestly, it's a $400 LPVO. Not bad, not great. Compares almost perfectly to my $399 Vortex Strike Eagle *(the 2020 updated version).
The good - decent eye relief, slightly better "eye box" than the Vortex SE. Nice, clean/simple reticle design. Zeiss fit finish on the exterior, compact size, low weight, seconf focal plane is the right choice in a 1-4.
The bad - lots of distortion at all powers, 1x-4x. Not typical Zeiss glass - you'll immediately know you're not looking through a high dollar German optic. Reticle brightness is - dim (about the same as the Strike Eagle, meaning it's visible in most but not all daylight conditions, and definitely NOT "bright"). Compares to about a 4-5 setting on a daylight bright optic.
Overall, I'd probably take this over the Strike Eagle at the $429 price point. But it's not worth a penny more. It's cosmetics look good, and if you're a weekend warrior it will serve you very well.

use this for Hog Hunting in Tx. 1-4 , ZQAR reticle the cats meow for driving hogs, jump shots and have taken running hogs out to 150 yards. Turrets lock, scope is not BULKY. so it fits a Kimber lightweight hunter perfectly. That rifle is slim, trim and light (6 pounds naked). I didn't give a full 5 rating as id like to see a comparable scope with same reticle but higher top end for longer shots across fields. 1x6, 1x8 with same feautures including reticle. That would accomodate TX hog hunting, where driver is also a shooter, running shots and stretch range for
250-300 yards with modest round. 4x, IMHO, is great for most scenarios but stretching mag a bit would be really nailing it.
perhaps make ZQAR reticle an option on other Zeiss scopes?

Great scope! A little blurry around the edges at 1x, was expecting a little bit more crisp 1x especially from zeiss. But the scopes glass quality still crushes all my other scopes. The clarity increases as the magnification goes up. Not the case with vortex strike eagle, as you dial up magnification on those, the image gets blurry and hard to see and the eye box is difficult to get behind. This scope I don’t even move my head and the image just gets better. Excellent price at 459$ would buy again. Also eurooptic has great free shipping! So far they’re free shipping is 3 days from order to doorstep. Way faster than optics planet!

Have been to the range a couple of times and I like this scope a lot.
Very good glass, especially at 4x.
Zeroed easily, and setting the zero stop was not hard as long as you read the instructions. The reticle is very good.
Zeroed at 200 yds with federal 223 bulk ammo. After that, was able to use just the reticle to hit steel plates out to 512 yds.
Now for the negatives.
The reticle is not “aim point “ bright. It will be great for hunting, range use etc.
but not super bright.
On 1x it’s not quite as good as my TR24.
But it’s very usable. I would not hesitate about buying it again. For the price, I haven’t found anything better.

After researching optics options for my AR308 I decided on the Zeiss V4 1-4 ZQAR, Clear glass , solid construction and a very useful reticle. A great value from Euro Optic and fast shipping, too.

Very sharp high quality glass. Reticle is bright enough abs visible outside - it may wash out in extremely bright sun on a white background but besides that I can see it just fine. Very satisfied with this scope.

I am so curious why it is still in stock with this stealing price. In my local buy sell trade, it sells as about 600 dollars used with no problem. I have shot 223 in 1 moa at 100 yards with this scope, which has made my AT308 rifle shamed. Looking through it feels almost like a copy of ACOG but in a half price. The turret is little crispy, just do not torture that hard as using vortex razor. I believe the design is for getting lighter weight and affordable price. If you do a lot tactical actions practice, do not buy this scope unfortunately. As me shooting AR15 carefully like doing lab in bio room, it is the best 1-4 scope ever!

Excellent value at sale price. Great Japanese glass and true 1X. Very usable reticle. Not true, but close to, daylight bright. Slight soft out of focus, at edges, at 1x. At 1.2x it is gone. Not noticeable unless focusing on it. The pros far out weight the cons at this price point.

Great quality. Usable reticle. I prefer my Burris XTR II 1-5 overall. But this was great since on sale. Have as a spare / extra on a LaRue qd mount.

Purchased this scope for an upcoming Cape Buffalo hunt. For my 53 year old eyes it is perfect for the 375 H&H. The reticle is perfect for quick shots. And you cannot beat it that it is illuminated.

This is my 6th Zeiss scope along with a range finder. High quality all the way. Been trying to convince my wife she needed a new scope for her gun. She will love this. Europtic was great to work with.

I love this scope at 4x power. I have it on a FN AR15 and it is "DIRTY" accurate. However, on 1x I have some fishbowl issues that's why it has 4 stars. I was really disappointed with it that issue but the glass is clear and reticle is VERY close all the way to 700 yds with holds according to Shooter app. (55 gr.) Sight in at 100 yds not 50. Great scope, great price.

Outstanding clarity and overall quality. Purchased to mount on a Remington 1100 slug barrel and very pleased with the results. Deadly accurate at 100yds and perfect for fast moving whitetails. I'm going to purchase another one for my 870 slug barrel.

I was looking for something to put on my suppressed 1895 Dark 45/70. I tried my Aimpoint T2 Micro, but I decided I needed better magnification for my 50 year old eyes. This looked perfect for what I wanted, a 1x red dot with an option to zoom in, and with the price reduction I jumped on it. It is super compact with amazing glass and the reticle is perfect for the subsonic/supersonic ammo I'm shooting. I do have one regret, not ordering the throw lever right off the bat. I'm getting it today.

This went on sale and I decided to give it a try for a new 3gun build I just completed. I own Kahles and Leica scopes but this is my first Zeiss. I am very impressed with the craftsmanship and the reticle is sweet. I am very happy with this scope and the service at Eurooptic.

My scope has some fishbowl issues at 1x. I don't think it is a true 1x when turned down. Other than that I love it.
Reticle is great and needs to be sighted in at 100 for the BDC to be as accurate as possible.
