The Geissele ALG Defense El Jefe receiver set starts with domestically sourced 7075 aluminum billets, heat-treated and hammer forged under a 1,100-ton press before being machined on a CNC horizontal machining center. The Mil-Spec Type 3 black anodized hardcoat finish completes receivers that are built the way forged aluminum receivers should be built. The ALG Defense AR15 construction reflects that same deliberate approach from the first billet to the finished rifle.

The 16-inch button-rifled barrel is hard chrome-plated for corrosion and wear resistance, maintaining accuracy through thousands of rounds at a high rate of fire. A Geissele 17-4 PH stainless steel gas block and extended mid-length gas tube give the 5.56 NATO rifle a gas system built to the same quality standard as the rest of the build — not the weak point in an otherwise solid rifle.
