The Gen 3 Micro Bastard was designed for off-hand, run-and-gun, and gas gun competitors. Lightweight and easily tunable, the Gen 3 Micro Bastard is outfitted with APA's U.R.P. Adjustable Gas System of top ports. Each port is strategically placed adjacent to the internal "Bastard tooth" – the place where to most pressure builds up – making the ports directionally effective. The self-timing Gen 2 system the brake also makes it cant-able. The innovative tunable gas system works in conjunction with the APA ports to deliver a sight picture that doesn't move when the host weapon is fired. There are 8 directional gas ports that can be tuned to counteract the U.R.P. and 256 possible combinations to keep your rifle on target. To calibrate the brake to your U.R.P., start testing with all the gas screws installed. Pay attention to the movement of your red dot, irons, or crosshairs, and begin removing the gas screws as the recoil requires.
