Rather than a traditional bolt-action, the 1727F uses a straight-pull action – the same type of action found on Anschutz's world famous and Olympic gold winning biathlon rifles. This unique action is opened by pulling back on the ergonomic bolt handle with the index finger, and closed by pushing the rear of the bolt handle forward with the thumb. The swift movement of the action is made with the operator's wrist, allowing the trigger hand to remain on the rifle and making follow up shots immediate. Instead of traditional locking lugs, the 1727F action utilizes 7 hardened-steel ball bearings to secure itself upon closing the bolt, thus eliminating the need to turn the bolt to operate it. The 1727F utilizes the target oriented 5020 trigger composed of 50 meticulously machined parts to deliver one of the best 2-stage triggers on the market. Additionally, the 1727F is outfitted with a heavy-profile 23" barrel and a 30 MOA picatinny rail.

This particular 1727F Barreled Action is precisely fitted in the Accuracy International AT-X Chassis. Based off the renowned AT-X Rifle, the AT-X Chassis is outfitted with a fixed stock that can be finely tuned to the user’s preferred length of pull, cheek height, and recoil-pad height/cant by loosening and tightening the corresponding knobs. The AT-X Chassis’ fore-end is equipped with KeySlot mounting points in the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. These mounting points run the entire length of the fore-end, accommodating the use of KeySlot accessories such as weights, fore-end bridges, sling swivels, bipod mounts, and rails. The bottom of the fore-end features an integrated ARCA rail, allowing a compatible bipod or tripod to be installed and adjusted with ease.
