The Anschutz 1761 was in development for nearly 3 years before its release in 2019. The rifle is built on a rimfire bolt action and was designed with sport shooters and hunters in mind. The rifle features a detachable magazine and is chambered for either .22 LR, .22 WMR, or .17 HMR. The bolt features an ultra short throw and a small bearing that reduces the force needed to open and close the bolt within the receiver. The trigger is Anschutz’s own Single Stage Adjustable Trigger that is made with precision machined lightweight parts and a silent safety.
