This led them to discover that multiple aerospace, cycling, automotive, and tennis racket manufacturers had been combining Flax into the carbon layers of their products. The incorporation of Flax not only made the products lighter, but also reduced vibration by up to 20% when compared to carbon, and 3 times the vibration reduction of glass. With this in mind, Axcel Archery’s design team created the patented Carboflax material, a plant-based bio-composite hybrid technology that naturally dampens vibrations even at high frequencies, and is better for your health as well as the planet.

The Carboflax technology is perfectly complimented by the included Kryptos Arc Vibration dampener – another patented Axcel Archery technology that reduces vibration in the X, Y, and Z axis. Equally spaced ribs around the circumference cause superior z-axis vibration reduction (preventing vibration from traveling back to the shooter’s hand), and arc-shaped scalloped rings with small diameter grooves in the middle cause excellent X and Y axis vibration reduction. The Kryptos Arc Vibration dampener features a strong, proprietary rubber material and can support up to 10 ounces of weight.
