Barrett sets a new standard for long range precision with the MK22 – the latest model of the renowned MRAD platform and winner of the U.S. Army’s Precision Sniper Rifle (PSR) contract. This kit contains everything needed for accuracy at extreme range including: (1) MK22 sniper rifle, (2) 10 round magazines, (1) Leupold Mark 5HD Riflescope with (1) contract scope mount, (1) anti reflection device, (1) Harris bipod, (1) bag rider, (1) Badger Ordnance angle cosine indicator and anti-cant device with mounting equipment, (1) coaxial laser laser integrated fixture (a.k.a diving board mount), and the zero target from the factory – all of which is comes inside a Pelican Vault hardcase with cut foam inserts.

The Barrett MK22 rifle’s user changeable barrel system is just one example of this hardworking gun’s modularity. The precision grade barrel can be removed by simply unscrewing two bolts using a standard Torx wrench. Besides reducing maintenance and logistical burdens, This unique design paves the way for future caliber interchangeability and serviceability at the user level.

The Barrett MK22 also boasts Barrett’s new trigger module that is easily accessed for maintenance, adjustment, and replacement. This match grade trigger is drop fire proof and combat ready. The thumb operated safety can be configured for left or right hand operation. The ambidextrous magazine release can be used intuitively while retaining a firing grip and cheek weld.

Integrated into the Barrett MK22 rifle’s upper receiver is a Picatinny M1913 rail with 10 MIL elevation. At 23.5 inches, the rail offers plenty of space for in line night vision devices. Configurable side and bottom rails allow for mounting a number of other accessories. Housed within the receiver is a unique enclosed polymer bolt guide. This ensures smooth reliable operation even in harsh environments where traditional designs with insufficiency clearance can bind.

The Barrett MK22 rifle’s stock is foldable for enhanced portability yet locks in as solid as a fixed stock rifle, creating a rigid platform for consistent firing. When folded, the stock latches around the bolt handle for added security during transport. Because the stock folds to the bolt handle side of the action, the rifle is the same width overall, folded or extended. Made of a temperature resistant polymer, the adjustable cheek piece also offers a consistent rifle to user contact point. The rifle’s length of pull can be set to five different positions with the push of a single button.

The included Mark 5HD Riflescope by Leupold was designed to meet the demands of shooters who needed a scope to max out the performance of long-range rifles and ammunition. The Mark 5HD comes standard with Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System to deliver outstanding light transmission and high-resolution while simultaneously reducing glare. In addition, the Mark 5HD features an exposed elevation turret with large, easy to read numbers and tactile, audible click adjustments. This turret is also protected with a ZeroLock dial, helping prevent accidental adjustments.
