Description
Benelli’s Ultra Light series are one of the world’s lightest semiautomatic shotguns, making them an ideal choice for any upland hunter. It gets its lightweight from a shortened magazine tube, as well as a specially designed receiver made from a featherweight alloy. This gives the Ultra Light shotguns excellent handling characteristics, and promotes better tracking of moving targets. Like many of the other semiautomatic shotguns made by Benelli, the Ultra Light utilizes the renowned Inertia Driven system. This extremely reliable system is composed of just 3 main parts – the bolt body, inertia spring, and rotating bolt head – and utilizes the inertia from a fired round to cycle the next. This simple, yet robust system eliminates the need to make adjustments, and can also handle the lightest filed loads to heavy magnum shells. In addition to being reliable, the Inertia Driven system runs significantly cleaner than gas systems by preventing residue from entering the barrel and ensuring the gas, smoke, and burnt powder remain in the barrel.
Other features of the Ultra Light series include a classic, aesthetically pleasing appearance. The stock and fore end are made from premium Satin Walnut with finely cut checkering in key areas. The barrel features a sleek, glossy blued finish, and the trigger is gold plated.

Customer Reviews
Avid NH partridge hunter who just turned 59. At first my hunting buddies razzed me on going to a 28ga. However, when they saw it kill birds like our heavier 16ga pumps (and carry all day like a feather) they admitted that this gun at 4.9 lbs is a great partridge gun. I bought the Benelli in 28ga because of the excellent patterns it throws due to their Crio barrels & chokes. I personally wouldn't buy a 28ga from any other gun manufacturer due to this fact.
