Berger’s 6.5 PRC Elite Hunter Cartridges deliver the accuracy and performance that all of Berger’s ammunition is known for. The Elite Hunter bullet is the heaviest-in-class, making it ideal for use on mid to large sized game such as Whitetail Deer or Elk. To ensure exceptional accuracy, the Elite Hunter bullet utilizes a Hybrid Ogive, which combines the best qualities of tangent and secant nose shapes which results in a flatter trajectory and less wind drift. Accuracy is further enhanced with a boat tail which provides an aerodynamic advantage at extended ranges when compared to flat-base bullets, especially while transitioning from transonic to subsonic velocities. The Elite Hunter’s superb accuracy is perfectly matched by its maximum lethality. A combination of a consistent and concentric copper jacket with a +/- .0003” tolerance and a thinner profile allows the bullet to penetrate 2” – 3” before rapidly expanding. This results in a massive wound cavity and extreme hydrostatic shock for instant knock-down power and ethically taking game. In addition, the 6.5 PRC Elite Hunter Cartridges are assembled with premium brass cases and clean burning propellant.
