Blaser's R8 Carbon Success Monza Addition Stock Receiver was designed to deliver superior ergonomics and enhance the shooter's accuracy. The stock is constructed from carbon fiber, a material known for its use in racing sports due to its remarkably lightweight. Its carbon fiber construction makes this R8 easier to carry for extended periods of time, and fine leather inlays on the pistol grip and fore-end provide better grip and a highly aesthetic appearance. The R8 Carbon Success Monza utilizes a unique thumbhole design, this provides an improved grip on the rifle when compared to traditional stocks, as the shooter can slip their thumb through the stock instead of wrapping their thumb overtop of the stock. The thumbhole aperture is considerably large for a relaxed shooting posture in virtually any shooting position and allows the user quick access to the R8's cocking/un-cocking lever.
