UPDATE 12/18/2017 -- Got some new pics of the ATACR 1-8x24 exposed turrets:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Nightforce Optics just unveiled the latest and greatest in short- to medium-range optics - three awesome new 1-8x24 Nightforce scopes. There's a 1-8x24 ATACR (FC-DM reticle):

And two of the new NX8 series, the 1-8x24 NX8 FC-Mil and the 1-8x24 NX8 FC-MOA:

While it's not surprising that the 1-8x24 ATACR features a 34mm main tube and the two NX8s (much like their NXS cousins) feature a 30mm main tube, it is a bit of a shocker to find out that all three of these scopes are first focal plane. All three reticles are tuned such that at 1x, the daylight-bright illuminated dot is built for fast and accurate target acquisition, and as the reticle is enlarged by the first focal plane magnification, the operator has the ability to see additional subtensions for precise holdovers and estimations - not to mention a better view of their target. Law enforcement and military users of the scope will no doubt enjoy the combination of fast acquisition 1x optics (much like a reflex sight) and the ability to enhance their ability to see details in targets that the optically-brilliant magnification provides. The ATACR, in particular, should leverage its superior optical ability to provide the ultimate optic for a Designated Marksman (DM).
Here are the FC-MIL and FC-DM reticles at 8x magnification:

Additionally, each of these scopes features an integrated Power Throw Lever (PTL) and fixed parallax at 125 meters, and brightness adjustments that feature "Off" settings in between the adjustment levels.
For adjustments, the 1-8x24 ATACR has capped elevation and windage turrets, and the NX8 scopes feature capped windage and an exposed elevation turret.
These new Nightforce scopes are going to be awesome - more to follow as we learn more.
