The Benefits of Tricer Bipods
I really dislike bipods on my hunting rifles. I am sure that disdain is shared by most serious hunters. Now, I will not disregard the fact bipods are extremely useful. But for me and my style of hunting, I hardly get enough use out of them to justify the annoyance of their presence.
The Tricer RP fits a very specific niche for me. It is a great piece of kit for doe culling. With a max height of 30”, I can post up behind the rifle from a sitting, kneeling or crouching position. This translates into super stable shots on opportune targets that may only present one for a brief moment. With a quick leg twist (the same as extending most tripod legs) I can open the bipod up from 14” to 30”. That’s a lot of flexibility. I can angle the leg in three positions, angle it forward two positions and cant/pan – all very useful features in hunting situations.
The box includes an ARCA attachment head, a Picatinny rail head and a small section of the rail that will attach via the forend sling stud of any rifle. It also includes a secondary set of shorter legs that go from 8.86” to 14.5”, and spiked and rubberized feet.
Tricer and Other Top Selling Bipods
The QD’s on each head are great! I will often take the bipod off and stow it in my pack. At 14 ounces, it almost disappears once it’s off the rifle.
All in all, it’s a great little bipod and a good piece of kit – I strongly recommend it. We are selling them right now for $349.99. At that price, it is a real no brainer when compared to other brands with similar features ranging from $500 and up.
