The CDX-R7 SPTR by Cadex Defense was designed for the discerning hunter, and combines a traditional design with modern enhancements. It comes standard with a lightweight, synthetic Tundra Strike Monte-Carlo style stock. The stock features strategically placed rubberized insets at the grip and fore-end for optimal handling, a high density neoprene cheek pad for shooter comfort, and aluminum bedding blocks, so no bedding is required. One of the CDX-R7 SPTR’s more notable features is its DX2 Evo Single/Two Stage Selectable Trigger. The DX2 Evo allows the user to select either a single stage trigger pull or a two stage trigger pull, and can be adjusted for pull weight between 1.5 to 2.5 lbs. The CDX-R7 SPTR also utilizes a unique action rail which is available in 0, 20, or 30 MOA configurations, and features an integrated recoil groove directly machined into the upper section. Other features of the CDX-R7 SPTR include a hunting style bolt and a hunting style muzzle brake. The bolt has a slim profile and features spiral fluting and a 50 degree throw, while the hunting style muzzle brake features porting to mitigate recoil and muzzle rise. In addition, the CDX-R7 SPTR is equipped with a sporter profile barrel with longitudinal flutes to help reduce weight and cool off faster.
