The Colt Enhanced Patrol Rifle Gen II is a semi-automatic, direct gas impingement rifle chambered in 5.56mm NATO, serving as the next tactical evolution of Colt’s iconic M4 duty platform. This duty-grade firearm incorporates a 16.1-inch chrome-lined, button-cut carbon steel barrel with a 1:7" right-hand twist rate and a standard A2 flash hider. It is built on mil-spec forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers with a matte black hardcoat anodized finish, featuring an M4 cage-code marked upper receiver and an LE-marked lower receiver. Operating on a traditional carbine-length gas system, the Gen II layout features an upgraded free-floating aluminum M-LOK handguard with a continuous Picatinny top rail, seven mounting orientations, anti-rotation tabs, and steel-reinforced QD sling attachment points. The service-oriented configuration is completed by an ambidextrous safety selector, a Magpul Enhanced trigger guard, a standard A2 pistol grip, an adjustable Magpul MOE SL collapsible buttstock, and low-profile folding Magpul MBUS 3 sights. The rifle feeds from an included 30-round Magpul PMAG, delivering a standard field capacity of 30+1.
