When it comes to precision rimfire performance, the CZ 457 Varmint Match Target Rifle (MTR) reigns supreme. It comes standard with a cold hammer forged, heavy profile barrel and a match chamber that’s been cut to the tightest specifications CIP will allow, resulting in incredible accuracy and performance when used with top-tier ammunition. One of the rifle’s more notable features is its MTR stock. Constructed from premium Turkish walnut, this stock is designed to deliver excellent ergonomics with a vertical pistol grip, a comfortable palm swell, and laser stippling to provide no-slip texturing. The stock’s fore-end is considerably wide for riding sandbags, and dual QD studs are included for installing both a bipod and sling. The 457 Varmint MTR’s bolt features a 60-degree throw, this was chosen to increase scope compatibility especially on scopes with a larger ocular bell and lower ring heights.
