Description

After extensive testing of various optical sights, US Special Operations Command has standardized on the HWS as its 1X weapon optic for close quarter, urban combat zones. To meet the stringent requirements set and demanded by our elite fighting forces, L-3 EOTech has developed the SU-231/PEQ (Model 553), modeled after the ever popular, battle proven HWS design. The SU-231/PEQ (Model 553) incorporates many additional features required within the SOPMOD Block 2 program. Standardized as the weapon sight of choice by America’s warrior elite, the US Special Operations Command. Shortest model sight yet! This sight is smaller than the former N-cell battery sight (511/551) and runs on a single 123 battery. It also has a longer battery life than the N-cell style sights. With the new single battery configuration, the XPS allows more rail space than ever, leaving more room for rear iron sights or NV mount. Smaller, lighter and always fast; the XPS series is a great new additon.

I own this optic and it is damn near perfect... the only thing that I can complain about is the battery life... but it really doesn’t bother me much at all.. the auto off feature helps a lot... I am considering buying another one and running a g33 magnifier with it... this is one amazing setup.... I have it on my Barrett Firearms REC7 chambered in 300 blackout and it is nearly as perfect as you can get... paired with my Dead Air Ghost 45m it is dialed in with subsonic loads... I love an LPVO setup as well, but this is such an awesome setup... I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.... hope this helps some of you who Might be on the fence... this model had the ability to run Night Vision as well and that is a huge plus for anybody in special forces or doing hog hunting at night... pew on my friends...

Great product - it does everything I wanted and is very solid. Even greater buying experience with Euro Optic. Price was better than anyplace and I don't know how they got it to me so fast.
