The FN15 TAC3 Carbine is a lightweight and highly ergonomic AR-platform that comes equipped with a wide array of FN exclusive features. The free-floating, chrome-lined barrel is cold hammer forged out of FN’s proprietary CMV barrel steel and is outfitted with an A2-style muzzle device to help mitigate muzzle flash. The barrel is shielded by a rigid 14 5/8” Hodge Defense wedge lock aluminum handguard with a custom barrel nut and anti-rotation technology. This handguard also features a full length picatinny rail with plenty of space to mount optics, clip-on night vision/thermal devices, and iron sights, as well as multiple M-LOK attachment points in the 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, and 9 o’clock positions for the installation of tactical lights/lasers, fore-grips, and other accessories. In terms of reliability, the TAC3 Carbine utilizes an M-16 style bolt carrier group made from 8620 steel, and a mid-length gas system with an H buffer and pinned gas block, which both aids in recoil absorption and greatly enhances dependability. Other features of the TAC3 Carbine include a six position collapsible stock with integrated QD attachment points and fully ambidextrous controls such as a Radian Raptor-LT charging handle and Radian Talon reversible safety selector.
