Garmin's Dash Cam Live provides security and piece of mind on and off the road. It comes equipped with a crisp, HD camera that can capture videos in 1440p HD quality with a wide 140° lens and Garmin Clarity HDR optics. The Dash Cam Live starts recording as soon as its connected to your vehicle's power source, and has an Incident Detection Function that automatically saves video just before, during, and after an incident as well as saving the GPS location and time.

With the activation of a LTE Subscription Plan (sold separately), the Dash Cam Live can provide the user with a whole host of additional features. With an LTE subscription, the user's videos are securely stored on an online vault and can be accessed, viewed, and shared via the Garmin Drive App. An LTE subscription and the Garmin Drive App can also be used to access a live view from your dash cam anywhere any time, as well as the Parking Guard function that detects an incident that could effect your parked car and sends you notifications. For an added level of security, as LTE subscription and the Garmin Drive App can provide the user with Theft Alerts that notifies you if someone drives your car without your phone in it, and can also track the location of your car.

Other features of the Dash Cam Live include Forward Collision Warnings that alerts you if you're driving too close to the vehicle ahead, Lane Departure Warnings that alerts you if your drift off the road, and "Go" Alerts that notifies you if stopped traffic ahead of you has started to move. In addition, the Dash Cam Live can be operated with Voice Commands for hands-free use.
