Garmin’s Striker Vivid Fish Finder allows you to see fish and underwater structure in maximum detail. It comes equipped with Garmin’s CHIRP (77/200 kHz) transducer, an ad sonar that delivers a considerably higher level of clarity and detail when compared to standard 77/200 kHz transducers. Rather than sending just 1 single frequency, CHIRP sends a continuous sweep of frequencies, ranging from low to high, then interprets them individually upon their return. Since the frequencies provide a wider range of information, CHIRP sonar technology delivers a much more detailed fish arches and greater target separation. The CHIRP sonar technology can be viewed in 7 colors on the HD display, allowing the Striker Vivid to be adapted to your particular fishing style.

In addition to its groundbreaking sonar abilities, the Striker is outfitted with a wide array of navigational abilities. Unlike fish finders of a lesser quality, the Striker features in integrated GPS to locate your current position quickly and precisely, then maintain your GPS location anywhere you go. This allows the user to mark spots where the fish are biting as well as mark the location of docks and boat ramps. The navigational abilities of the Striker also keeps track of the boat’s speed – a useful feature for ensuring proper speed for particular fish species, or when traveling through wake-controlled areas.
