Geissele Maritime M16/M4 Bolt Catch (08-153) optimizes any rifle built around a mil-spec M16/M4 carbine bolt catch, replacing the small factory paddle with a genuinely larger surface area.

This Geissele Bolt catch makes locking the bolt back or releasing it after a magazine change noticeably easier. It's also a real benefit for left-handed shooters — the extended paddle sits easily in reach of their index finger, so they don't have to break their grip to manipulate the bolt. Aggressive checkering on the lever surface gives tactile feedback whether the shooter's wearing gloves or working in low light.

This Geissele Bolt Catch is manufactured from heat-treated 8620 steel and coated in manganese phosphate for corrosion resistance. A mil-spec bolt catch spring and plunger are required for assembly and are not included - if replacing an existing bolt catch, save those parts during disassembly. Compatibility with billet AR-15 lower receivers is unknown, and the extended controls will partially cover the hammer pin hole, so a smaller punch may be needed to drive the pin out from the left side; the hammer pin should only be installed from the right.
