GRS Riflestocks
When it comes to Norwegians, there’s one thing that can’t be argued—they make some of the finest knives on the planet. That being said, the collaboration of GRS Riflestocks and Norwegian knife maker Brusletto has produced possibly the finest knife of 2018, the GRS Femund. The Femund knife follows the classic style of Norwegian/Scandinavian knives with various upgrades.
The GRS Femund Knife features a blade edge that is unique to knives produced in Scandinavian countries. Known as the "Scandi" grind the blade edge does not have a secondary bevel, this produces a wickedly sharp edge that is incredibly easy to maintain. The full-tang blade has a versatile drop point profile giving the user greater control when making precise cuts as well as adding increased strength to the blade. The GRS Femund’s blade is crafted from super hard N690 steel, which has a good reputation for edge retention and it renowned for its corrosion resistance.
The contoured handle of the GRS Femund is designed to give the user a comfortable but stable grip on the knife and features the same laminated birch wood found on GRS stocks. The hardware on the handle of the knife consists of two large hex bolts, steel tube protecting the lanyard hole, and a polished finger-guard. The GRS Femund’s sheath follows the traditionally Scandinavian deep sheath style that securely holds the knife without the use of a straps or buttons.
