Description
The Celtic 28 Gauge side-by-side shotgun from Grulla is not just only an incredible sporting shotgun but a perfect example of what happens when you combine unrivaled craftsmanship, artistry, and half a millennia of gunsmithing experience. The Grulla Celtic sports 28" demiblock barrels that are nickel chromium steel with fixed improved cylinder and modified cylinder chokes. The action frame is made from drog forge steel and uses the H&H assisted opening opening action with automatic sleeve ejectors.
The Celtic’s aesthetics are sure to astound any sportsman with its intricate details. The engraving is based on traditional Celtic knotwork following the design styles of H&H—this gives the Grulla Celtic an elegant but at the same time rugged appeal. The stock of the Grulla Celtic is made from exhibition grade Turkish walnut that has been finished by hand. The Grulla Celtic also comes with a fitted leather hard case featuring lockable brass hardware. The Celtic also ships with a canvas soft case that fits the hardcase like a glove for when you’re traveling or transporting your shotgun in inclement weather.
All Grulla shotguns can be considered of the highest quality and are handcrafted in the Basque region city of Eibar in northern Spain—an area of the country famous for producing shotguns of unrivaled quality. Grulla is actually the oldest of the Basque manufactures, established in 1932 the company survived the Spanish Civil War and the economic calamity that followed. The men who handcraft these shotguns in the Grulla workshop come from long family lines of gunsmiths and craftsmen in Eibar. Also known as "Gunsmith City", Eibar has been producing firearms for over 500 years. With that kind of pedigree it's no wonder Grullas are coveted by shotgun aficionados across the globe.
