Hornady’s EDL (Extremely Low Drag Match) Match Bullets are technologically advanced target bullets that come packed with numerous design features that deliver some of the highest in class ballistic coefficients, superior accuracy, and extreme consistency bullet to bullet, lot to lot. One of the EDL’s more notable features is the HeatShield polymer tip. On other polymer-tipped bullets, the tip deforms due to aerodynamic friction which causes a degradation in accuracy. The HeatShield tip resists the deformation caused by aerodynamic friction, greatly enhancing long range accuracy. Other features include a streamlined secant ogive with an optimum boat tail design, plus a highly concentric AMP bullet jacket. These features, combined with the HeatShield Tip create a supremely accurate, high-BC match bullet.
