Hornady’s FTX Bullets revolutionize lever -gun ballistics with greatly extended range and a new level of performance. They come equipped with Hornady’s patented Flex Tip. Upon impact, the polymer Flex Tip is compressed and forced into the bullet, immediately initiating expansion across a wide range of velocities. The Flex Tip, combined with a secant ogive design creates an aerodynamic bullet with a thinner tapered front section and extended bearing surface for a much higher ballistic coefficient. This design is also safe for use in tubular magazines. Other features include the excusive InterLock Ring, which locks the lead core to the jacket for deep penetration on large game.
