Hornady’s MonoFlex Bullets are ideal for lever-action rifles intended for big game. They combine the best features of Hornady’s GMX and FTX bullets and are constructed from a special copper alloy. The use of copper alloy instead of pure copper yields several benefits: its significantly harder, tougher, and doesn’t foul or increase pressure the way solid copper bullets do. The MonoFlex Bullets are topped with Hornady’s patented Flex Tip. Upon impact, the Flex Tip is forced back into the nose cavity and initiates expansion even with the lower velocities often encountered in long range situations. The rapid expansion, followed by deep penetration and high weight retention ensures maximum lethality.
