The Kimber Classic Silva (84M) .308 Win is the .308 Winchester variant of Kimber's Classic Silva series, built on the 84M action that was purpose-engineered from the ground up with minimal dimensions to accept the .308 Winchester family of cartridges — rather than simply shortening a full-size action as most competitors do, which results in rifles that sacrifice either weight or barrel length. The result is one of the lightest and most well-balanced bolt-action hunting rifles in its class, tipping the scales at just under 6 pounds with a properly proportioned 22" match-grade stainless steel barrel featuring a 1:10" right-hand twist and 7/16x28 threaded muzzle. A full-length Mauser claw extractor ensures true controlled-round-feed reliability, while pillar and glass bedding, a three-position Model 70-style wing safety, and a factory-adjustable trigger set between 3.5 and 4 pounds deliver the precision and dependability serious hunters demand. Finished with a hand-rubbed oil Turkish walnut stock featuring 20 LPI panel checkering, a 1" Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, steel grip cap, and sling swivel studs, the Classic Silva .308 Win is a refined, classically elegant hunting rifle that represents the best of Kimber's traditional craftsmanship.
