Lantac’s Stingray Non Linear Compensator delivers maximum recoil reduction with an array of innovative designs. It features multiple porting channels that run parallel and vertical to the bore, with gas expansion chambers running along their length. When gas enters, it impinges against the vertical ports and expansion chambers to produce a braking action inside the compensator. This reduces recoil and directs the energy down-range without generating external concussive energy. Both the vertical and horizontal channels also feature threading to create an uneven surface within the compensator to assist disrupting the flow of gas and reducing muzzle flash in a process called Disruptive Venting. Other features of the Stingray include two patented Trefoil shaped ports which are positioned on the top of the compensator, causing gas to be vented vertically and thus reducing muzzle climb. The Trefoil pattern also creates three prongs within the porting area to further assist in disrupting gas and reduce the flash signature. In addition, the Stingray is made from a combination of 4140 ordnance grade steel and polished 416R stainless steel for durability and a long service life, and is extremely compact.
