Still learning about capabilities of this rangefinder, love what I see so far. Glass clarity is amazing, but to be fair it's my first rangefinder and I don't have many to compare against. In the good conditions I'm getting reliable ranging up to 1500 - 1700 meters, haven't try to measure further yet. Tried couple times near the water on a foggy day, got some false positives shooting into the fog (the rock that was like 100m+ reported as under 20m consistently (the fog was dense, it was hard to see the rock through it)); but on the other hand was detecting trees up to 600m shooting from the fog pretty reliably. Didn't try the metal or animals yet. 7x magnification is okay to hold in the hands when measuring for me, my wife said she actually would prefer lower magnification since she has to use 2 hands to keep it stable. Connected it with kestrel, 5700 regular (non-elite). Works ok, was a little pain to setup them since I didn't find a good instructions (prob my fault for throwing boxes away).

An absolutely phenomenal product. Crystal clear and repeatable, dependable accuracy. I'll be passing my Sig onto a needy shooter at some point because it's just not even in the same league with my new Leica 2800 rangefinder. Once again Europtics came thru with their usual competitive pricing, fast shipping and outstanding customer service. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I had a name brand range finder before this that won’t even range a cow at 500 yards and is hard pressed to range a tree. It claimed to be rated for much better. Use it for archery only now were at some 3d shoots the furthest targets are around 80 yards or so. The Leica 2800 off hand ranged a cow at over 1200 yards no problem. Yes I would say it’s a big improvement and highly recommended.
