Nightforce Optics released a limited number of the Army Spec F1 scopes to the public!
These special scopes are a military contract overrun for the United States Army Special Operations Command and are marked ARMY-SPEC F1 on the bottom of the saddle and on the side parallax adjustment.
Nightforce M IL-SPEC riflescopes endure an external pressurization test of 40 psi ‘gauge pressure,’ simulating a depth of 100 feet to confirm that they exceed current US military specification requirements by up to 25%. In addition, all scopes go through secondary pressure testing at 125 psi to simulate a depth of 300 feet. This type of test is critical to ensure integrity of components against rapid temperature and pressure fluctuations encountered by HALO (high altitude, low opening) troop insertions.
All Nightforce MIL-SPEC rifle scopes undergo twice the amount of impact testing of commercial NXS scopes to ensure they can handle abuse on the battlefield. All scopes are inspected both before and after testing procedures to ensure consistency, repeatability, and integrity of the product at every stage.
Mechanical components on all MIL-SPEC riflescopes are permanently assembled to maintain integrity when exposed to shock and vibration by automatic weapon firing and explosions.
All optical elements are bedded in a proprietary Mil-Spec bonding agent, meaning there is no contact between glass and metal.
Tracking accuracy, reticle tilt, maximum adjustment range, between-power deviation and adjustment backlash are all higher standards on a MIL-SPEC riflescope. They exceed the strict specifications of the NXS product line, and are held to tolerances unmatched by any other scope manufacturer.
All MIL-SPEC riflescopes are built using only the best optical elements chosen from each lot received from Nightforce suppliers. All air-to-glass surfaces receive a proprietary broadband multi-coating, exceeding the toughest MIL-SPEC abrasion tests. Resolution, contrast, color correction, and reticle sub tension are maintained at levels up to 5% higher than Nightforce commercial products.
These scopes include a 10 year warranty covering mechanical defects and workmanship in optical and mechanical components. Includes Mil-Spec owner’s manual.
Due to the semi-permanent construction of the MIL-SPEC riflescopes, no conversions or alterations will be performed on any of these units.
