The Vortex 30mm rings are machined from durable 7075-T6 aluminum using a precision CNC mill held to a tight tolerance of .0005 inches. The Vortex Precision matched rings are serialized as a matched set so the two rings that go on your rifle were manufactured together and measured against each other before leaving the factory.

After machining, each ring is serialized, vibratory tumbled, bead blasted, and finished with a Type III hard coat anodized surface that protects against wear, corrosion, and the general abuse of field and range use. The anti-snag design keeps the profile clean without any edges or protrusions that catch on gear or clothing.

The Vortex rings torque specs make installation straightforward and safe. Tighten base screws to 45 to 50 in-lbs and cap screws to 15 to 18 in-lbs for a secure mount that holds zero reliably.
