The BH-55 Ball Head by Really Right Stuff is one of the best ball heads available, and is a perfect choice for experienced professionals as well as enthusiastic amateurs. It delivers up to 45 degrees of tilt in every direction, and up to 90 degrees in the two drop notches. The main lock knob is knurled, and independently controls the tension of the main ball joint, while the midsized knurled knob independently controls the panning base, and is marked every 2.5 degrees with laser engravings. A smaller spade knob works in conjunction with the main lock knob to create a minimum amount of resistance on the ball joint at all times regardless of the main lock knob being fully loosened or not.
