Went out on a limb and bought these based on my experience with Steiner M22's in the Army. I couldn't find any credible sources reviewing the product online. Hopefully I can shed some unbiased light on what I now feel is an excellent binocular. My application for these is observation while hunting and long range shooting. Image is very good. Sharp and bright. I've used these for about ten days in the field now. I haven't ever been limited by these binoculars while glassing thick cover. What impressed me the most is one of my deer stands overlooks a swamp that has an island in it 200 yards away. During the final moments of legal shooting light the tree line on the island was completely black to my naked eye. I pulled up on it with these Steiners and could clearly see 30 yards into the cover. If a deer would have been standing there I definitely would have been able to make positive identification. I literally said "Wow" to myself. Tell me what more can you ask of a hunting binocular? I purchased this model specifically for the mil reticle. It has sub tensions down to .2 mil. It's fine, clear, doesn't obscure what you are viewing and will make spotting second shot corrections for a long range shooter accurate and fast. The binocular is also tripod mountable. For ultra stable spotting and mil measurement. Overall construction is top notch. They are very solid in the hand. All of the mechanical adjustments are very smooth and have absolutely no slop. I love the wings on the eye cups. They block out almost all the ambient light and they make it easy to pull the binoculars up to your eyes and have an instant field of view. Intuitive. I have ran into two issues. The rubber objective lens covers don't stay on that well. I found that if you put them on an then push on them with one finger in the center and flex the rubber inward then release. It will actually create suction and they do stay put. The second is the ocular lenses fogging. I researched the issue and found that it wasn't so much a design issue with the optics as it was with weather conditions. My fogging issue came when it was around 36 degrees outside with 100% relative humidity and a 32 degree dew point. I actually contacted Steiner about it. They recommended EK Cat Crap as the best anti fog product on the market. I bought some, applied it, and went hunting in similar conditions the next day. No more fog problems! I'm not willing to make compromises on equipment. If I buy something and I find out it isn't going to be suitable for the task or perform the way I want it to. It get's returned. These are professional grade. Buy with confidence.

I purchased these for working on the ocean on military missions. The quality is excellent, and the optics are crystal clear. They are well built and perform well under harsh conditions. I would definitely recommend these to friends and others.

I was looking to upgrade my binocs with these steiner binoculars. They look really durable and not huge. This is my first Steiner product purchased, and I'm real happy with the quality of the glass. The picture is awesome/crisp! DSG Arms had a real good price. I called them several times with questions about the binocs, and the staff I talked to was real knowlagable. The SUMR radical is in the right eye piece. The radical is real clear but not obtrusive with the field of view.

I purchased these for multiple reasons 1) First and foremost, for work. I'm a licensed first responder and procured these as a replacement for a previous pair of 20+ yr old Steiners damaged in a training exercise. The size, weight and handling are an improvement over my previous pair. I'm enjoying the 10x and the grid as I need to frequently judge distance . 2) Also utilize these for competitive shooting. They are crystal clear in all conditions. They're a must have in my range bag on every trip. Lots of complements on them at meets. Finally, 3) I just started using these on my upland bird hunting trips. Only had them long enough for the past season but the optics on these are super in all weather and light conditions and I'm out early, using them at first light on the foggiest, raining days! Reliable, great ergonomics, design, features and quality from Steiner!

I received these for a Christmas gift. We have season tickets to the Texas A&M games, and these new binoculars will provide a much better view of the game.

I have had this set of bino.s for a few months and they have exceeded my expectations in every way. The glass is crystal clear and they are made, Steiner tough, great for using when you’re busy and not babying your tools. The recital is in the center but Not in the Way. I have checked the recital against a rangefinder and it is accurate. I have been very pleased with my purchase & I am not a wealthy man but I feel that this was money well spent on the Tac-R.Patrick
