The Steiner DBAL-D2 is an integrated, rail-mounted aiming and illumination solution that combines an infrared LED illuminator and two co-aligned laser aiming devices — visible and IR — in a single, compact platform, giving hunters and operators the complete low-light and nighttime targeting capability they need without running separate devices for illumination and laser aiming.

The Steiner DBAL D2 infrared LED illuminator is adjustable from 2 degrees to 30 degrees with a simple twist — transitioning from a tight focused beam for identifying targets at distance to a wide flood for illuminating large close-in areas takes only seconds without any tools or complex adjustments. The adjustable power settings on the illuminator allow the user to conserve battery life and tailor the illumination output to exactly what the specific situation demands at the touch of the activation switch — the practical operational flexibility that serious nighttime hunters and operators specifically value.

The DBAL D2 co-aligned visible and IR laser pointers are among the most practical features on the platform — zeroing the system is as simple as zeroing the visible laser during daylight hours, because once the visible laser is zeroed, the IR laser is zeroed as well. For platforms with an already-zeroed optic, zeroing the visible laser can be as straightforward as moving the laser aiming point to the location of the zeroed reticle on target — eliminating the complex nighttime zeroing process that non-co-aligned systems require.

The Steiner D2 activation switch and included remote pressure pad can be quickly configured to fire the visible laser in high or low settings, the IR laser alone, the IR illuminator alone, or both the IR illuminator and laser together in high or low settings.
