Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 BRH Riflescope Black 59026

Bought this scope after weeks of research and reading of reviews for my new Barrett Fieldcraft .25-06 ultralight. I wanted a model with parallax adjustments, but decided I'd be ok with this one shooting 0 - 500yds. What the scope had to be was lightweight and have impeccable optical quality, and good eye relief. This purchase was a slam dunk! I am easily able to shoot 1/2 MOA groups with the Barrett, and comparing this scope to the Leupold VX-3i Long Range (30mm), the reticle in the Swarovski is MUCH easier to see in dusk (and beyond) conditions. I give up a half inch or so of eye relief, but this scope has PLENTY; even for an ultralight rifle that will pay you a visit on the back end if you don't hold on to it. As far as optical quality... it's a Swarovski. Enough said. 4-12x BRH is excellent for my uses on deer species out to 500 yards. (I use a Zeiss V4 30mm illuminated 6x24x50 with #93 reticle on a custom 300 Dakota for work beyond 500yds.) It makes no sense to have a rifle weighing 6 pounds if you don't put a scope on it weighing less than a pound. The Leupold and the Swarovski were my only 2 real choices. I have other rifles I wouldn't hesitate to put the Leupold on, but for my primary hunting rig used from 20 yards in dark swamps to 500 yards out West in wind, I don't want any other scope or any other reticle than this one. Light transmission, optical quality, and repeatability doesn't get any better. The BRH reticle can even be used for wind drift correction at distance with practice. Similar to the Leuopld Varmint Hunter reticle, but much more visible in the lowest light.

I really like this scope and I most likely will buy another one. The BRH reticle works and makes it easy to see on darker backgrounds or low light. Quality scope and a really good price for what you get.
