This is by far my favorite Hog rifle. Light in the field and drops them on the spot. I have taken a total of 9 hogs with my Tikka and am taking it out again in June.

I purchased my Tikka Hunter from EuroOptic. It shoots dime sized holes with performance hunting ammo, glass smooth action and features that comes on rifles priced much higher. Detachable magazine, cold hammer forged barrel etc. Best bang for the buck, and the 6.5x55 will take big game like nothing else. After all, how could the Scandinavians be wrong for over 105 years? I also bought a Tikka Hunter from Euro-optic. As stated this rifle is extremely accurate with handloads and factory ammo. I mostly load 120 grain bullets and H4831 powder. I have shot to 585 yards and can easily hit deer size game in the vitals. Very low recoil. This rifle feels better in my hands than the more expensive Mauser 12 and the wood grain is much better finished. I have owned several Tikkas over the years and all were exceptional rifles.

Accurate. Light. Good finish. Not crazy about the plastics. However, I cannot complain about performance on paper. Consistently shooting 3/4" groups at 100 yards with Nosler Trophy Grade 140 gr ammo with accubond bullets and a Leupold 3-9x40 VX3i with Game Reaper low mounts. I am not a hand-loader, so it will be tough for me to get away from Nosler now with immediate results like that. That said, I haven't taken an animal with it yet, so that could change. Also really like the smooth action of the bolt. Smoothest I've ever operated. Additionally, the combination low felt recoil and a super crisp trigger male this rifle a joy to fire.

I've been hunting with the 6.5 Swede for 20 years. Took advantage of the T3 closeout and I just got the 6.5 Hunter and a Lite in 308. Rifles are great and triggers are excellent. Swapped the stocks out, as I hoped I could, and I'm on the way to a light weight 6.5 Swede. As soon as my Leupold VX2 CDS for the Swede gets here I'm off to the range with two T3's to work up loads for.

This is the best out of the box (and possibly out of anywhere) rifle I and many acquaintance shooters have ever seen. Smooth action, bases dovetailed on receiver-and straight,I might add,and more accurate than any!

i received my new rifle last week and took it apart to clean it and was disappointed with the plastic trigger guard. i was aware of the other plastic parts but this was a surprise.(funny the trigger guard is listed as bottom metal/plastic). i went to mount the scope and found i needed to buy some rings and mounts as the rings that came with the rifle were very low. the bell on my scope was a 50 mm so that was not unexpected and mounted nicely with leupold twist in rings and mounts medium high. i had loaded 6 batches of ammo in 3 bullet weights and 2 powders 10 rounds of each and headed to a private range. it took 3 shots to zero the rifle and then i was set to see what this sweet looking 6.5x55 would do. i have to tell you i was shocked! i shot 6 3 shot groups at 100 yds and the biggest group was under 3/4" 2 groups were under 1/2". this was the first time loading for this caliber and i havent begun to fine tune the loads yet and already shooting these groups. this thing flat out shoots. now there are cosmetic changes i would like to see such as all the plastic gone but for the price of this rifle the accuracy is remarkable. i have a dozen or so rifles that cost much more than this and they all took much more work with reloading to get this type results. this is a great buy and i am thinking of buying a 7 mag now. great job buy euro optics and tika.
