Received an email from Euro-Optic to add a review after the one above. This tritium powered triangle reticule works even better than my first impressions. I have made an effort to use the sight in every lighting situation, 3am full moon, mid day bright sun, from inside a dark room aiming out into all light conditions, in the forrest under approximately 75% shade, aiming out into open pasture, both day and night. All works well, I want to know before hand what it's capabilities are under real conditions. The "washout" the sight is noted for aiming from a dark room out into daylight is the only fault I have experienced, and it is not a total washout, the reticule does become dim, but if you take a brief moment to "look" for the triangle it is there. As noted in my first review, the addition of a small AA cell powered LED flashlight, mounted in a custom bracket, with a .062 inch hole emitting light onto the fiber optic pickup at the front of the sight works fantastic. The flashlight has a run time of 150 hours continuous, at 3 lumens. Intermittently used, I expect to get years out of a NMH rechargeable battery. Being it uses common AA batteries, logistics are reasonable. The weapon light on the weapon this sight is on uses AA batteries also, simplifies battery supply. Really, the only situation I have needed the extra light source is under the dark room to bright outside condition. Time will tell, might need the extra light say aiming out over a snowscape from a darker area like under evergreen forrest. Fantastic not having to be concerned with batteries going dead. The sight is always ready for your aiming. At first I thought the reticule was too dim at night, aiming with no artificial lighting in the area, but it seems the perfect amount of "brightness" for total dark, because it doesn't overpower my natural night vision and where the target is. The amber color of the triangle contrasts very well with the target, of all types I've aimed at, the apex aiming point is super precise, it is a great effect. Been considering the Trijicon 1-4 Accupoint with the tritium/fiber optic powered green triangle. After using this amber triangle reticule reflex sight I'm sold completely on Trijicon's triangle sight technology. They make very nice products far as I'm concerned. You seriously receive what your spending your money on. No compromises on technology or materials.

This Trijicon triangle reticule optic is superb, I am delighted with this sight. The severe stigmatism in my eyes effect the accuracy I can obtain with all the scopes, red dot and hologram optics I have tried, except this triangle reflex sight. I see now why so many remark how crisp and precise Trijicon's optics are. It is readily apparent every aspect is of top shelf quality. It has an ingenious windage/elevation mechanism. No fragile reticule, lenses or filters to come loose or break internally. Built like a tank. It looked kind of funny sitting up on the rail, till I looked thru the sight and squeezed the trigger, believe you me it instantly became the most beautiful sight imaginable. The apex of the triangle reticule is very sharp, makes for a most precise aiming point, using the point no part of the target is occluded, something about how it works, it is just "right". The whole triangle is a no brainer for close in work too, just put it on center mass and shoot, the triangle shape provides natural instant alignment on the target, both methods seem so intuitive, no thinking involved. Huge confidence factor. The amber color works very well, it provides nice contrast with the target, doesn't overwhelm what you have the reticule on. There is washout of the triangle in certain situations, if you take a moment to look for the reticule, you can see it, it just has a ghosty appearance. Came up with a fix for that. As an aiming device all its other features are so good I don't consider washout a detraction. My fix is I found a high grade, small LED flashlight with low-med-high settings, 240 hour continuous battery life on low, 5 lumens, I figure with lithium batteries, they will last years the amount of use it will require. Machined a custom mount & Picatinny clamp that positions the light just overlapping the very bottom edge of the fiber optic light window, with a cap on the lamp end that has a 1/16th dia hole which sheds a small amount of light and lights up the reticle perfectly in all conditions where I deliberately caused washout. (FYI, the polarized filter that comes with the optic works well also with enhancing the reticule, it has a 360 degree feature for infinite contrast adjustment. Though it does darken up your view thru the optic depending on the amount of polarized contrast you use). The flashlight is basically for the rare conditions where the reticule could be totally washed out. Just in case. As it is on a weapon I rely on to be dependable and reliable. The clamp is quick disconnect, so I always have a ready flashlight on the weapon if other needs be. Having used a number of different high grade combat proven optics, like everything in life, nothing is perfect, but, with a little ingenuity one can sometimes overcome and adapt. Now I have, for me personally, the perfect 100-300 yard non magnified combat optic. Fantastic! PS, Thanks you guys for getting the order out in jig time, appreciate you all here at Euro-Optic. You made yourselves a loyal customer.
