The USMC SCO VC18-C-2400012 is the commercial version of that exact optic, offering greater magnification and a brighter sight picture than its predecessors, making it the first focal-plane combat riflescope the Marine Corps specifically adopted for operational service.

The Trijicon VCOG 1-8x28 VC18-C-2400012 MRAD Reticle Tree reticle is composed of a free-floating center dot in the middle of a segmented circle with a Christmas Tree of sub-tensions and holdover points that compensate for bullet drop and wind drift - the complete ballistic holdover system that both CQB and long-distance marksmanship demands from a single first focal plane reticle. Toolless turrets with .1 MRAD click values provide audible and tactile feedback for confident field adjustments.

The Trijicon SCO VCOG adds two new upper magnification levels over previous VCOG configurations - the 8x upper end enables more precise shots at longer ranges, while the 28mm objective lens delivers a brighter sight picture than the 24mm objective on earlier 1-6x models. With both CQB and long-range capabilities, the USMC VCOG 1-8x28 is the ideal pairing for a carbine or DMR-style rifle that needs to cover the complete engagement spectrum.

The Trijicon VCOG VC18-C-2400012 integral LaRue LT799 quick-detach mount allows fast installation and removal without additional hardware.
