The optics are clear and bright. The MRAD system is very functional after some training and use. Two objections: 1. There is no provision for an auxiliary mount. 2. After several days use on the golf course, the rear lens fell out apparently due to poor adhesive on the retaining ring. Returned for service. Looking forward to putting back into service.

It's a handy little monocular, and it feels good when you first pick it up. However, I am ultimately somewhat disappointed with this optic. The focus wheel & diopter are very stiff, so they're hard to manipulate without using a second hand. Also, it seems like this thing fogs up on me CONSTANTLY. The fog is probably the most annoying thing about this unit. The glass seems okay, but not great. Then again, the stiffness of the focus wheel makes it difficult to dial in a precise focus. The carrying case it comes with is pretty dinky as well. I was expecting more for a $150 monocular ($200+ on Vortex's website). This is good for taking quick peeks, but I suggest you consider other options if you're looking for an optic for prolonged glassing.
