The Vortex Viper HD 5-25x50 runs Vortex's HD Optical System with select glass elements that produce outstanding resolution, natural color fidelity, and edge-to-edge sharpness with minimal chromatic aberration. At 25x magnification, the quality of the glass becomes the limiting factor in how precisely you can shoot, and the Viper HD Scope optical system holds up well at the top end of the power range. The 50mm objective lens keeps the image bright and detailed in low-light conditions that long-range shooting sessions often run into at the edges of the day.
The illuminated VMR-3 MRAD reticle inside the Vortex Viper Scope sits on the second focal plane, keeping the reticle size consistent and easy to read regardless of where the magnification ring is set. For MRAD shooters who do most of their precision work at a set magnification level, the second focal plane placement means the reticle references stay clean and easy to apply without the reticle growing and shrinking with the image. The illuminated center helps in low-light conditions without overwhelming the sight picture.
