I've owned a lot of quality optics over the years including over a dozen different Trijicon ACOGs, a US Optics, Nightforce, several Leupold Mk4, etc. Based upon my experience with other Vortex products I expected a very high value (price to performance) ratio on the PST 6-24 FFP. Upon receiving the optic I was very happy with the packaging, etc. My excitement abated when I dialed the optic over 12x. From 6-12x it is crystal clear. Above 12x and the clarity transitions to a "milky" or "foggy" image. Vortex Customer service was OUTSTANDING in addressing my concerns. Unfortunately, they ultimately found the optic is performing to specifications. I think this is a "you get what you pay for" situation. For the price it is a good optic. Vortex's CS is absolutely second to none (I could write an entire glowing report about how they rolled out the red carpet for me). Would I recommend this optic to someone else? Yes, but I would tell them to expect decreasing image quality with increasing magnification. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I’ve run optics from all the quality manufacturers over the years. This offering from Vortex is simply amazing given its price point.
Completely clear edge-to-edge, great tracking. I disagree with some of the reviews here as I experienced none of the clarity issues at magnifications they mention.
I highly recommend this glass for anyone one on a budget shooting precision rifle up to 1000m.

I purchased this scope just before the deer season to replace a Vortex 4-18x Strike Eagle that was on my Bergara B-14 HMR in 6.5 Creedmoor. The Strike Eagle is a great durable, budget scope that I had no problem reaching out to 500 yards with no problem and I am pleased to say that the PST is its better in every way. The dials are crisp and consistent which made it very easy to sight in. I was also surprised to see that the paralax graduations were accurately marked and useful unlike the Strike Eagle. The clarity of the scope is excellent with good ambient light however, in indoor ranges and at dusk the higher magnifications pick up a slight haze. My only complaints about the scope is that it is a heavy scope and that only three or four magnifications are marked.
As far as durability goes I hunt on an extremely rocky ranch in south Texas and use an old jeep to get around it. After 3 days of violent bouncing and vibration the scope still held its zero and I was able to make consistent shots out to 500 yards. I would highly recommend this scope to anyone looking for a great hunting scope that can also help you reach out to distance.

I have purchased many Vortex PST scopes in the past. The clarity is unsurpassed! Dials move and click just right.
They have the quickest eye piece of any, including Leupold. (my opinion) Buy this and never look back, because it is better than many 1,000.00 + scopes.
The reticle in the FFL model does not get too large.
Great on my 6ppc, 7-08 and now 6BR.

This is a great scope and a tremendous value. Often people will say “it’s great for the money, but...”. No “buts” here. I have three of them. If I acquire a new rifle this is the first and often only scope I consider. Clear glass to the edge at all powers, excellent tracking, reticle not distracting (which can, for me, be a problem with some ranging reticles)...what’s not to like?

This older model scope has all the functionality of the newer model, at a much lower price point. Interestingly, I already owned the newer 5-25, and find this one almost exactly the same for image and function. I like FFP for hunting, and do use the range finding capabilities. Too much trouble to use separate rangefinder. High magnification very useful for precision sighting in and load development. Why not save some$$? while these last.

I own two dozen scopes and this is the best optical performer of the bunch. I recently tested it head-to head to an generation 2 Athlon Ares scope --comparable sized objective but 27 power. The Viper could spot 22LR hits on hit paper at 300 yards, the other scope could not (though it could find them once I knew exactly where to look). The image is clear even at maximum magnification-- I've got other scopes where the image quality degrades at the highest powers. I think you'd be hard pressed to match the performance of this optic in this price range or even for a couple of hundred dollars more, which is why I own two and may get a third while Europtic has them for this close-out price.

Got mine in time to mount on my 6 creed before heading out to the NRA Whittington Center. Could easily see the bullet fragments kick up dust after impacting the "white buffalo". I think that target is 1123 yds. Ordered a second scope when I got back home. Can't beat the performance for that price.

I’ve been shooting a long time and just bought, installed and started using this scope. It has improved my skills greatly!!! Great glass, easy to set up, and makes a cheap rifle really accurate and really consistent!!! For grins and giggles I mounted it on a Ruger American Go Wild 6.5Creedmoor, 1st shot to begin zero, 2nd shot fine tune 0, then 6 shots in a 3/4” group @ 100yds using factory load hunting ammo.
BEST MONEY IVE EVER SPENT!!!

Euro-optic was fast with shipping. The optic itself is clear until your power reaches around 14x then it begins getting cloudy ad eye relief also decreases. For the money optic was worth it but definitely not my leupold

Out of a 5 star review I give it 6 stars. The clicks are very positive! The turrets are not only audible but you can definitely feel it through your fingers. The tracking is spot on! You can zero, go 20 moa up and 10 moa left, then do the opposite and you’ll still be on zero! The clarity is ridiculously clear and the matching reticle is spot on! It’s a no brainer, buy this scope! Buy it with confidence!

I have a number of scopes from the major manufacturers. This particular scope is mounted on a Springfield M1A Super Match. Not to go on and on , simply said it's worth every dollar. Optics are incredibly clear, and the adjustments are smooth and flawless. Great buy!

Vortex Viper does it again! I've run several Leupold however, for the money the Vortex Viper is just hard to beat. The scope arrived and I set it up on my wife's rifle and we're glassing tractor tires, barns, silos, and generators at 914-950 yards. There will be no problem at all with this scope when we go to the 1000 yd. range again. Can you get better glass, sure, but you're going to dig deep for it?

Great optic for the closeout price! Have purchased a several of the original PST's from euro-optic, my favorite was the 2.5-10x44 but this 6-24x50 ffp is a great option also and the shipping and service is top notch! Mounted it on a ruger american predator in 308 and it works very well on this rifle!

Very nice scope with plenty of extras!
Glass quality is very nice at this price point. The turrets have very positive and audible adjustments. Tracking and repeatability= excellent.

Great scope offered at a great price by Eurooptic. This has become the first scope I consider when I need a new one. I have 4, all on centerfire rifles, 2 mounted on AR's. Glass is clear at all powers with crosshairs visible in all the light conditions I have used the scope in.

Great scope! Very clear. Eye adjustment works great for those of us that don't have perfect vision. Eye relief is great. Reticle illumination is great!! This scope offers a 1st focal plane illuminated reticle, a zero stop system, side parallax adjustment and a lifetime Vortex warranty. It tracks accurately and the glass is plenty good for what I want to do. At this price point especially, I consider this a screaming good deal.

The amount of scope per dollar with the Gen 1 PST is incredible. You can most certainly find more clear glass to look through (for 3x the price), but the only two I’ve looked down that are more clear is a razor and a Nightforce. I have 4 of these scopes on various rifles now, you can not go wrong with this scope.
