The CZ75 P-01 Omega was designed for military and law enforcement applications, but its lightweight and compact size makes it perfect for concealed carry as well. This aluminum-alloy framed, low-profile handgun is equipped with the new Omega Trigger System and a simple hammer-fired action. Because the Omega’s trigger parts are interlocking in nature, the CZ75 P-01 Omega can be fully disassembled and reassembled without any gunsmithing experience or special tools. This robust trigger system also has a convertible safety/de-cocker system. Conversion only take a few minutes, and allows the user to carry the pistol de-cocked for a double action first trigger pull, or cocked and locked like a 1911. Like its full-sized counterpart, the CZ75 P-01 Omega is highly ergonomic due in part to a curved frame designed for a perfect fit in the shooter’s hand, and a tang that extends over the web of hand provides protection from hammer or slide bite. This handgun is also the first CZ model to benefit from updated manufacturing technology at CZ’s Uhersky Brod factory. The upgrades allows components of the P-01 to be interchanged with P-06 models without the need for individual fitting. In addition, the CZ75 P-01 Omega has been extensively tested to ensure reliability. During testing, the P-01’s average number of stoppages was only 7 per 15,000 rounds fired, giving the pistol an impressive failure rate of just .05%.
