When the rifle showed up at the FFL dealer upon inspection before accepting it, I thought it was a quality built rifle. In Colorado you have to wait 3 days after background check before taking home. When I picked it up and brought it home, upon disassembly and cleaning and further inspection the "pic rail" screws were loose and not properly torqued. I use "Bore Tech Eliminator" to clean my rifles and this rifle showed "signs" of having been fired 40 to 50 times from the amount of fouling that came out? But, the rifle had been sitting for approximately 1 year and 10 months before I purchased it??? Mounted Talley Rings on it, Leupold scope. Bought 1 box of factory Hornady 143 ELD-X to use as break in and to see if it would shoot a MOA group. 1 and 3/4 inch was the best! Have done a lot of load development and testing for this cartridge the past 5 years since it came out for many makes of rifles. The Sauer rifles are the most accurate and consistent. This rifle was an experiment being new and from Franchi. Using Berger 140 VLD and H4831SC (56.6grs) (coal of 2.995) (Lapua Brass) (WLRM primers) it shoots a tight 3/4" group. Velocity of AV=3005 ES=14. From the factory they used Hornady 147 match ammo for there MOA guarantee. The rifle does have some little "quirks" about it , but they all do! In short it is a good rifle! Before testing though I hand lapped the barrel with JB Paste and Kroil to remove the rest of the "bad" copper fouling and some minor rust that was observed from using a borescope when I got it.
