The HALO-LR by N-Vision Optics is one of the most advanced thermal scopes available on the market. The HALO-LR features a compact design that is lightweight and durable with a shock resistant body and IP67 waterproof rating. It provides a wide field of view and is well suited for nighttime medium to long range shooting.

Unlike night-vision that requires a small degree of light, the HALO-LR is completely thermal based, allowing the user to observe targets in complete darkness. It utilizes 4 polarity options: Black Hot, White Hot, White Edge Detect, and Black Edge Detect. Black Hot displays heat signatures as a black silhouette cast over a predominantly white backdrop, while White Hot shows a white silhouette cast over a predominantly black backdrop. Black and White Edge Detect casts either a black or white outline along the edges of heat signatures for a more defined image.

The core of the HALO-LR’s system is its 640x480, 12 micron sensor with a rapid 60Hz refresh rate. This highly advanced system is supported by a 1x/2x/4x/8x digital zoom function with a base magnification of 3.5x. The HALO-LR also come equipped with a Region of Interest Optimization function that enhances the clarity of your point of aim. This function is preset to your point of interest’s size of either ¼ or ½ of your screen. In addition, the HALO-LR is photo and video compatible, with photos being captured by enabling the photo function and quickly pressing and releasing the power button, with video being achieved via external DVR and analog video-out cable.
