Description

Pulsar’s Axion 2 LRF XG35 delivers advanced thermal imaging in a pocket-sized package! It comes equipped with a sophisticated 640x480 microbolometer which is more than capable of detecting heat signatures at over 1900 yards away. Its powerful thermal imaging abilities makes the Axion 2 LRF XG35 a perfect addition to any nighttime predator hunting setup, allowing the operator to observe large areas to locate and identify game. The image is projected on a crisp 1024x768 AMOLED display, and is viewable on 8 distinct color palettes. The Axion 2 LRF XG35 also comes standard with an integrated laser rangefinder, able to accurately measure distances at ranges up to 1100 yards away. Other features of the Axion 2 LRF XG35 includes built-in photo/video recording and a 16 GB memory card. Photos and videos can be shared to a compatible device via WiFi connectivity, or by Pulsar’s Stream Vision 2 app to preserve shooting memories. The Axion 2 LRF XG35 also features a sizable magnification range of 2.5x – 20x for greater long-range observation/identification, and can operate for up to 7 hours on a single charge. In addition, the Axion 2 LRF XG35 only weighs a mere 9.6 ounces, and utilizes a high-quality magnesium alloy housing for superior shock and impact protection.

I was very surprised of the clarity of the product. The 640x480, integrated LRF in a compact size with long lasting battery is a dream. Definitely worth what you pay for. I had the 388x244 axion which was pretty good but this 640x480 is the real deal.

First thermal so I don't have a lot to compare it to but this thing is awesome. First weekend I had it, just messing around grabbed it and went outside about 8:30 at night. 60 yards behind the house in my clover plot... Coyote! Never would've known. As to why not 5 stars. I couldn't decide between this model or the non rangefinder model. Bought this one and after I used it for a week I didn't like the bulk. It's a pain to get in and out of pockets. So because I was still in the 15 day 100% satisfaction window, Euro let me exchange it for the non rangefinder model but still a Axion 2 XG35. Much happier, same size as your normal handheld rangefinder. Easily slips in and out of pockets. The laser rangefinder unit is nice but you have to use 2 hands to hold and also activate the rangefinder. I'd rather not have it so that I'm not fumbling around trying to get it in my pocket when a coyote shows up.

Excellent picture quality, rugged construction, and thoughtful design. This is my second Axion. I upgraded from an XM30 (original). The improvement in the image is incredible and the LRF helps overcome the lack of depth of field in thermal.
