Description

The newest addition to Trijicon’s line of combat riflescopes, the VCOG 1-8x28mm provides more magnification and a brighter sight-picture than its predecessors. The 1-8x magnification adds two new upper levels of magnification to the VCOG lineup, allowing more precise shots at longer ranges. The 28mm objective lens offers a brighter a sight picture over the 1-6x model VCOGs that only have a 24mm objective lens. 1-8x VCOGs will be initially available with Trijicon’s first focal plane Segment Circle Cross-Dot reticle in both MOA and MRAD. Additionally the toolless turrets of the new VCOG 1-8x28mm riflescope have .25 MOA/.1 MRAD click values with audible and tactile feedback.

The VCOG 1-8x28mm is built from forged 7075-T6 and military grade aluminum alloys making the scope nearly indestructible. Like all VCOGs, the 1-8x28 features a battle tested integral thumbscrew scope mount for placement on rifles featuring a Picatinny optics rail. The VCOG 1-8x28mm riflescope’s 11 reticle illumination settings are powered by a single AA battery that should last several hundred hours. With both CQB and long range capabilities, the VCOG 1-8x28mm Riflescope will be a perfect pairing for a carbine or DMR style rifle.

Had this optic for a few months now and really like it! Great glass, seems very durable... also seems heavy when you take it out of the box, but considering it has an integrated mount, the weight is similar to comparable optics once you factor in the mount. I wish the reticle had windage holds like some of the 1-6 vcog offerings, but otherwise its excellent and is a good match for an AR-10 platform. Eurooptic had the best pricing I could find, and they shipped it incredibly quickly as well!

Excellent customer service & price from Euro Optic. 2 day shipping Sweet. After a long painful search for the right LPVO for me, I chose the Trijicon 1-8x28 Moa VCOG based on the following criteria: 1st & foremost MADE in USA !!!! No CHICOM Crap !!!!! Build quality excellent. Fit finish, excellent. Same battle proven 7075T-6 Aluminum as the ACOG that can withstand an AK-47 round. Glass quality excellent. Edge to edge clarity & 0 fish eye distortion. Excellent & very generous 4inch eye box no scope shadow. Illumination absolutely bright enough here mid day in Boise Idaho. I bought a Night Force ATACR 1-8x24 & dumped it due to the unforgiving eye box. Glass is equally as good or slightly better than my 2 Night Force ATACRs 5-25x56 from Euro Optic. Love the reticle. Clarity, color & brightness Awesome ! Turrets are stiff & crisp, what you would expect. Weight seems to be the only criticism for most. You are only talking about 8-10 ozs in most of the other choices out there. Hit the gym & step it up to solve that issue. Remember, its title, Variable "Combat' Optical Gunsite capable of precision work 4-600 yds if necessary on my M-4. After that I will got to my Ar-10 w/ ATACR for a solution. No cons other than price. However as we all know, buy it once cry once.
