The AMG Rattler-V2 19-256 Thermal Riflescope is an enhanced version of the renowned Rattler TS19-256, boasting dramatically improved battery life, more reticle options, superior detection abilities, and optimized controls/interface. Measuring in at 8.5" x 2.7" x 2.6" and weighing at just over a pound, this compact thermal optic is perfect for close to mid-range night hunts thanks to its 2.5x base magnification and wide 9.3° x 6.9° (49 feet @ 100 yards) field of view. Compared to its predecessor, the Rattler-V2's refresh rate has been upgraded from 25hz to 50hz to ensure smooth scanning and minimal lag. The 2.5x magnification, wide FOV, and lightening fast refresh rate allows for extensive area coverage during scanning either mounted to a firearm or as a handheld monocular. The heart of the Rattler-V2 is a 12μm VOx Uncooled Focal Plane Array detector with sub-35mK sensitivity paired with a 19mm Germanium lens – this allows the Rattler-V2 to detect a human sized heat signature from up to 950 yards away. Heat signatures are projected onto a 0.39" OLED display and are viewable in 4 distinct color palettes – back hot, white hot, red hot, and fusion. In addition to multiple color palette options, the Rattler-V2 also offers 10 reticle options to choose from as well as 25 zeroing profiles, allowing the Rattler-V2 to be used with multiple firearms and cartridges. Switching between the various color palettes, reticles, and zeroing profile is easy via an intuitive user interface.

Additionally, the Rattler-V2 19-256 has been optimized for use in complete darkness. The controls 5-button layout is raised and gives tactile responses for navigating the menu based on feel alone. The focusing knob features 3 raised points to promote faster focusing in the dark and the spring loaded battery compartment accommodates quick battery swaps in the field. The Rattler-V2 ships with two rechargeable batteries, each of which offers an battery life of up to 11.5 hours.
