Geissele 12.6" MK20 Dual Tab DDC Handguard Assembly 05-2555S started life as a Border Patrol Rifle requirement — Geissele needed to hit strict weight targets without giving up rigidity, and the skeletonized MK20 design is what came out of that. It's now available as a standalone option for any mil-spec build, not just the rifles it was originally built for.

Machined from 7000-series aluminum and Type III hardcoat anodized in Desert Dirt Color, this Geissele MK20 Handguard uses a dual anti-rotation tab clamp system that locks onto Geissele's proprietary barrel nut - easy on and off, but still rated "Super Stiff" by Geissele's own internal classification, which isn't a small claim given how aggressively this rail is skeletonized to cut weight. A full-length Picatinny rail runs the 12 o'clock position, with M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock for everything else.

At 9.7 ounces bare and 11.4 with the barrel nut, this is genuinely one of the lightest all-aluminum handguards Geissele makes - a real consideration if you're building toward a weight target rather than just looking for "lightweight" as a marketing word.
