This thing is heavily skeletonized - cut away everywhere that doesn't need material - and it still holds up under recoil the way a solid rail does.

Machined from 7000-series aluminum, it locks to the receiver through a dual anti-rotation tab clamp system paired with Geissele's easy-install barrel nut. Geissele calls the rigidity rating "Super Stiff" internally, and honestly, that tracks - you don't expect a rail this light to feel this locked-down, but the anti-rotation tabs and set screws are doing real work here, not just checking a spec sheet box. A full-length Picatinny rail covers the 12 o'clock position, and M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 handle everything else you'd want to hang off it.

At 10.8 ounces bare and 12.42 with the barrel nut, this is about as light as a 14.6" rail gets without switching to a different material entirely. Most handguards this long start adding noticeable weight up front - this one just doesn't.
