Machined from 7000-series aircraft aluminum, the rail locks to the upper receiver through Geissele's torque-free clamping system, where anti-rotation tabs and set screws hold everything rock-solid against recoil and repeated hard use. That's what keeps a mounted light or optic from creeping off zero over a long service life - a real concern on a rail this long, where leverage works against a looser mounting system.
